2015 Chardonnay du Monde: Groot Constantia on a roll with top Chardonnay accolade in France following ‘iconic’ performance with trio of red wines on home soil
Groot Constantia Chardonnay 2013 was the only SA wine included among the Top 10 at the showdown in Burgundy, with a gold medal also presented to the Bergkelder of Stellenbosch for the 2014 Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Chardonnay.
In total, 56 of the 826 entries from 41 countries won gold medals, 196 – including 13 from the Cape – won silver and 23 bronze.
